The autumnal weather has definitely shown itself here, in Cornwall over the last few days. It’s getting colder. When the weather is like this, my fingers get so cold and it is impossible to get them warm, unless I submerge them in very warm, or almost hot water. I soak them for a few minutes and watch my hands turn rosy pink. This is when I transport myself back to the piano, so I can start my practice routine.
There are days when I struggle to decide what to practice, or I end up repeating the same exercises every day without a clear strategy. It's common to go on autopilot mode. Keeping a practice journal can help you track your progress and plan your schedule effectively.
