After being married for approximately 6 weeks, I was introduced to a lovely composition by Michael Giacchino titled 'Married Life'. This piece was part of the film score that received several accolades, such as two Grammys at the 2010 ceremony, for the soundtrack of the Pixar movie 'UP'.
The movie tells the story of Carl Fredricksen, an admirer of explorer Muntz. Carl crosses paths with Ellie, and they develop a romantic relationship. Sharing a desire to explore and emulate their idol Muntz, they envision a life filled with adventures. However, their plans are thwarted by life's challenges. Following their marriage, they experience a miscarriage, and Ellie falls ill and eventually passes away. Carl, now a lonely and embittered helium balloon vendor, navigates life on his own.
Pete Docter, who directed the movie "Up," shares
‘The message of the film is that the real adventure of life is the relationship we have with other people, and it is so easy to lose sight of the things we have and the people that are around us until they are gone. More often than not,, I don’t really realise how lucky I was to have known someone until they are either moved or passed away. So, if you can kind of wake up a little bit and go “wow, I’ve got some really cool stuff around me every day” then that is what the movie is about.’

The film score effectively captures the emotional essence of the film by incorporating a variety of elements and themes. I particularly appreciate the element "Married Life," with its 3/4 time signature reminiscent of a Waltz. Life can be likened to a dance with its intricate routines, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a good sense of humor and focusing on the positives for a fulfilling and successful journey.
